Sayos Vaqueroette is a yearling filly by Major Vaquero out of Shine on Sayo by Shining Spark. Sorrel with a big star, this is going to be a well built mare. She seems like she is going to have some size and bone to her, but still have an elegant look. She has the breeding on both sides to be a great show horse.

Her sire, Major Vaquero, is a horse that spent most of his career as a Non-Pro show horse and was not exposed to many mares as a young stallion. However, Million Dollar Riders Dell Hendricks and Tom McCutcheon saw his potential as a sire and purchased him to stand themselves. His get have now won over $450,000.00. As of July of 2007 he has produced as many money earning mares as he has stallions and geldings, including Memorable Affair, who has won over $93,000.00 to date.

Her dam is Shine on Sayo by Shining Spark and out of Miss Sayo Freckles, an outstanding broodmare by Colonel Freckles. Miss Sayo Freckles has produced earners of $118,642.66 including Im So Tari, who was an NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion ridden by Todd Bergen. Shine On Sayo is an NRHA money earner. Her first colt was a stallion by Magnum Chic Dream and is currently a 2 year old, owned and being trained by Josh Visser. Josh says that he is already showing the talent to be an open caliber horse.
